PSL 2022 & COVID

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is confident of holding the Biggest Cricket Festival of Pakistan in the month of January, but the recent hike in COVID cases in the country is creating trouble for PCB to conduct a smooth PSL Season this year. COVID-19 has already affected the PSL’s Schedule and Venues. According to an official statement by PCB last year (2021), the PSL matches will held all across the country in the stadiums of Peshawer, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi and Quetta. But, CoVID-19 badly disturbed the PCB’s Plans to conduct matches at Different Venues. COVID already affected the PSL 6 season, which will probably impact this season. Following measures and suggestion are under review!

What is PCB thinking now for PSL 2022?

As per News Sources, Pakistan Cricket Board is now in contact with Governmental Bodies to assist PCB, PSL Management and Franchises to conduct matches of the Pakistan Super League without any hassle & issues. The first thing which is under review is to shift all matches to one venue, either Lahore or Karachi, to avoid transportation and logistic issues. Second suggestion is that there should be one Five Star Hotel for all teams. Third suggestion is to not allow spectators in the Stadium. PCB & PSL Management is in hot water to conduct the Cricket Festival smoothly. They are taking assistance from Pakistan & Provincial Government so that the tournament of PSL is held smoothly, which is widely held watched in different countries across the Globe.
