Aftab Iqbal is a Former Crime Reporter, Senior Journalist, Column Writer, Businessman and TV host. Iqbal is the one who introduced the comedy shows on Pakistani Television. His famous TV Shows include Khabranaak with Aftab Iqbal, Khabrdaar, Khbarzar, and Khabryaar. He is currently hosting Khabrdaar at Express news with Co-Host Dr Arooba, Babu Rana, Honey Al Bela, and Zafri Khan.
Aftab Iqbal’s Family and Early Life
Aftab Iqbal was born to Zafar Iqbal, the famous Urdu language Poet. He married Nasreen Aftab, and the couple has one daughter. Aftab Iqbal’s daughter Ayesha Noor is also in the TV Industry and currently serving as Head of one TV Channel.
Aftab was raised in Okara and received early education here. After that, he moved to Lahore to pursue higher education. He completed his Masters from the historic Government College, Lahore. Later, he migrated to California, where he earned a Diploma in History of Mass Communications from San Jose State University.
Aftab Iqbal’s Shows and TV Career
Aftab started his TV career as a Crime Reporter, and then he was assigned the duty of Media Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab. After that, he started writing in Different Pakistani Newspapers.
His first appearance on TV as host was in Geo News’s Comedy Show, Khabarnaak with Aftab Iqbal. The show was able to receive huge appreciation from viewers. Legendary Aman Ullah Khan, Saleem Al Bela, Honey Al Bela, Sakhawat Naz, and Iftikhar Thakur were in the main Cast. Later, Aftab moved to Express News along with his cast and crew. Aftab Iqbal also appears in Dr Arooba’s Hosted “Open Mic Cafe”. He started his Youtube career with Channel Named Aftab Iqbal; later, he launched GWAI (Gupshup with Aftab Iqbal). GWAI currently has crossed the subscriptions of 1 Million.
