Momal was born and raised in Karachi and completed her graduation from the University of London, UK. She is a graduate of Marketing and Advertising. However, she was not interested in Showbiz; instead, she wanted to become an Air Hostess.
Momal started her career with Yeh Zindagi Hai alongside Moamar Rana, Hina Dilpazeer, and Sana. Later She did a supporting role in the Superhit Drama Serial Mirat Ul Uroos. Recently Shiekh played the role of Mahak in HUM TV’s serial Mushk featuring Imran Abbas, Urwa Hocane, and Osama Tahir. Viewers and critics praised her performance in Mushk.
Momal also acted in Bollywood; she debuted her film career with the Romantic Comedy Drama Happy Bhaag Jayegi. The film performed relatively well at the Indian Box office and received mixed reviews.
