Sabahat Qamar Zmana, popularly known as Saba Qamar, is a famous Pakistani actress, T. V. presenter, anchor, and host. She was born in Hyderabad, Sindh. She is well known for her super Hit movies and most popular Drama Serials. The government of Pakistan awarded her Pride of performance and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in recognition of her services for the Drama and Film Industry of Pakistan.

Early Life & Career

Saba Qamar was born in a Sindhi family based in Hyderabad, Sindh. Her father was demoted when she was a child. Saba Qamar’s family moved to Karachi, but Saba came to her Grandmother in Gujranwala. Her Grandmother looked after her during her childhood. Saba completed her fundamental and secondary education from Gujranwala then proceeded to Lahore for higher studies. 

Saba Qamar faced several difficulties at the start of her career, but she didn’t give up! She played minor roles in PTV dramas from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, she worked in Khuda Gawah Hai, a TV series by ATV, and played the role of Fatima Jinnah in Quaid-e-Azam’s Biographical Series “Jinnah Ke Naam.” It was a commercially flopped series, but she successfully got positive reviews from critics and was nominated for the Best TV actress award. 

Later on, her side role in Dastaan and leading role in Tinkay earned her great name in the Pakistani Drama Industry. She was awarded LUX style and PTV awards for extraordinary performance in these Dramas. 

In 2011, Saba performed in a record number of Dramas. She collaborated with Ahsan Khan in Pani Jesa Pyar and Tera Pyar Nahi Bholay. Later in 2011, she was opposite Sami Khan in 3 series, Jo Chale To Jaan Se Guzar Gaye, Tere Ik Nazar & Main Chand Si. In the same year, she appeared in “Maat” alongside Adnan Siddiqui and Aamina Sheikh. 

Saba also hosted TV Comedy Show “Hum Sab Umeed Say Hain” By Younas Butt, in which she was engaged in hosting and doing mimicries of Political Celebrities. 

Saba Qamar Movies

Saba Qamar made her Movies debut with Biographical Movie, “Manto,” based on the life of Pakistani Writer Saadat Hussain Manto. Although the film commercially flopped, her role was appreciated. Saba Qamar also did one Bollywood movie alongside Irfan, named Hindi Medium. This film was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of that year. Her acting was praised across the borders. Saba has acted in many Lollywood Films Like Lahore Sey Agay, Aina, Moomal Rana, etc.
