The real name of Meera is Irtiza Rubab, but she is popularly known as Meera. Meera is the only Pakistani actress who has worked in Hindi, English, Norwegian, Urdu, Punjabi, and Pashto Films. She is the Senior Paksitani Actress with around 100 films and TV shows. Meera is in the hearts of her fans because of her marvelous roles in Aks, Wujood, Shor Sharaba, Jackpot, Baaji, and Parey Hut Love. Meera has recently shown her interest in joining Pakistani Politics.

Meera does not usually tell more about her age. But we found her Birth year, which was 1977, so Meera’s age is almost 44.

Early Life and Career of Meera

Meera was born and raised in Sheikhupura, Punjab. Meera had four brothers and one sister. She obtained her Education from Lahore’s Kinnaird College for Women. In 2013, she married Capt. (Retd.) Naveed Parvaiz

Meera started her career in 1995 with the film Kanta. After Kanta and in the very very Next Year, she appeared in 9 Urdu and Punjabi films.  Meera rose to fame with her performance in 1999’s classical Movie Khilona. For which she received Nigar Award, she received the same award for her film Inteha featuring Humayun Saeed, Sameena Pirzada. Another Blockbuster, Salakhien, was also remarkable work from Meera. It was the most popular film of that time. Salakiehn received acclaim nationally and internationally. She became a Female icon in Lollywood after her superb performances. Meera also acted in Pakistani TV dramas; her first drama was Bichday Toh Ahsaas Hua. Later she acted in the Thriller series Naagin which was the most-watched drama of that time. 

She made her debut in Bollywood with the film Nazar, and it was the first time any Pakistani actress played the leading role in Bollywood. However, her second film in Bollywood Kasak was the biggest flop. Later her film Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore was mediocre at the Box office. According to critics, the film wasn’t able to get higher revenue due to the wrong policies of the Director.

The government of Pakistan honored Meera with Pride of Performance (Highest Literary Award in Pakistan) in acknowledgment of her services in Urdu and Punjabi Films and Dramas. In addition, Meera is two times recipient of Nigar Awards for her films Inteha and Khilona
