Maulana Tariq Jamil Launched His Own Clothing Brand, The trend of renowned Pakistani celebrities launching their own clothing brands has been prevailing recently. Late former singer and renowned religious scholar, Junaid Jamshed, was one of the first Pakistani celebrities who launched his own brand a few years ago and is quite successful.
Now, the news of another renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil launching his own clothing brand has been going viral for the last few days. A number of people have been wondering about his decision considering the fact that he didn’t get involved in a business before.
Now, Maulana Tariq Jamil has answered all these question in a video message.
In the video message, he said that the sole purpose of his brand is to finance his madrassah. The renowned religious scholar added that he had been thinking about starting his own business to help him run his religious seminary without relying on charity.
“Since 2000, I had been thinking about doing business for my religious activities, especially for running a madrassa. In COVID-19, I have the opportunity to put that idea into practice.”
Regarding his business, he stated that some of his friends helped him start his own brand with the name of MTJ. He further clarified that his brand isn’t launched as competition but its purpose is to finance his religious seminaries. Maulana Tariq Jamil also wondered why starting a business by religious scholars in the subcontinent is considered as something bad.
The 67-year-old also vowed to build a hospital and school with the money earned from his clothing brand.
