The COVID-19 has claimed 53 more lives and 2,258 new cases have been reported, according to the latest figures from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
There are 17,628 active cases.
As many as 1,276 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, while 1,688 patients remain in critical condition.

The NCOC has declared that schools in seven Punjab cities will be closed from Monday (March 15) to March 28.
Following a critical meeting of the NCOC summoned to review the coronavirus situation, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood made the announcement at a press conference flanked by SAPM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan.
A ban on gatherings of more than 300 people in an outdoor event has been implemented, according to the NCOC. On April 12, the restrictions will be reviewed by the board. NCOC agreed that provinces would be able to enforce SOPs in cities and districts on their own.
