At World Robotic Olympia Pakistani students secured 4th position. A Robotic competition known as World Robotic Olympia was held in Canada in which Pakistani students Ibrahim, Mustansar, and Burhanduddin of classes 7,8, and 10 made a robotic project in just two weeks and secure the position in Columbia. They focused on the major issue in America and Canada which is a forest fire.
These students were guided by their teacher Mr. Hussain and after that they participated in the competition. LEGO expansion packs with complete programming were used to complete this robotic project. Basically, this project was creation of LEGO robots. When students were asked that why they created this project so only thing in their mind was saving forests and make animals survival possible so that is why they created LEGO robots. Moreover, they also mentioned that main issue in Canada and America is forest fire, which can damage a lot of lives. So, they decided to make a robot that is basically a sprinkler machine, that has infrared detector, which detects the presence of fire and out the fire as soon as possible. The other robot aims to capture store carbon dioxide through a fan and a storage compartment which is connected to a geothermal unit.
Everyone present in the Olympiad mentioned that this solution is indeed the best solution for saving forest and animals. It could be implemented on a larger scale when the same robots are developed using bigger parts and good materials and technologies. This is a proof that Pakistanis not only think about Pakistan but also for other countries and this shows a dedication and care for other countries as well. No doubt Pakistani school and college students’ capabilities are outclass, who can think like qualified engineers to create innovative products.
