According to official sources, South Korea Ambassador Suh Sangpyo recently called the Federal Minister of IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque in the federal capital.
The minister, on the other hand, invited the Korean Ambassador to his office, where they addressed issues of mutual interest in IT and telecommunications in order to expand this business.
Both parties agreed to expand their collaboration in the fields of information technology and telecommunications.
Furthermore, the minister said that South Korea is ready to assist Pakistan in the manufacturing and assembling of smartphones.
The Korean envoy was informed about Pakistan’s ICT remittances, which increased by 43.59 percent to $1.512 billion during the months of July to March of FY 2020-21, compared to the US $1.053 billion during the same span of the previous financial year.
