With the onset of the third wave of corona in Pakistan, the number of cases has been steadily increasing. In one day, 2,253 new cases of corona were reported while 29 people infected with the virus died.
According to details, the National Command and Operations Center has released the latest statistics regarding the situation of Corona in the country. It said 29 more corona patients died in the country in 24 hours, bringing the total number of corona deaths to 13,537.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 44,061 tests were performed in one day, of which 2,253 new cases of corona were reported, while the tests positivity ratio was 5.1 percent.
The NCOC said that the number of patients undergoing corona in the country is 22,038 and 245 patients are on ventilator while the number of confirmed cases of corona in the country has reached six lakh seven thousand four hundred and fifty three.
In Punjab, the third wave of Corona intensifies
Punjab reported more than 1,000 cases for the fifth day in a row on Sunday, as the country’s third wave of the novel coronavirus intensifies.
In the last 24 hours, 1,653 new infections have been identified in the province. The province last recorded such a high number of cases during the first wave on June 24, 2020, when 1,655 infections were confirmed. The total number of citizens infected with Covid 19 in the province is now 185,468.
Parliamentary Health Secretary Dr Noshin Hamid has said that the rate of corona epidemic has doubled in a few weeks, people have to be careful, and they have to use masks.
She added that the British coronavirus has spread to major cities, the British virus is spreading rapidly, it’s not very dangerous, yet arrangements are complete in all hospitals.
