COVID-19 vaccine doses from China are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow in a Special PAF plane, according to a recent report. A special plane will fly to China tomorrow to bring the first batch of coronavirus vaccine, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

According to reports, the PAF’s IL-78 will depart Noor Khan base for China tomorrow. China will send 500,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine to Pakistan in the first phase.

According to the latest news, all appropriate steps for storage in Islamabad have been taken. The vaccine will be preserved in the cold storage of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), from which it would be flown to the provinces.

The Chinese government will provide the first batch of vaccines as a gift, according to a foreign office spokesperson, who also said that the Chinese government will “actively coordinate with the related Chinese enterprise to expedite the export of vaccines to Pakistan.”

China will supply Pakistan 500,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine by the end of this month, according to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Beijing will also provide vaccines made by CanSino and SinoVac to aid Pakistan’s battle against the second wave of COVID-19

“China and Pakistan have been cooperating to resolve challenges since the outbreak of COVID-19. The Chinese government has agreed to provide a batch COVID 19 vaccine as an aid to our Pakistani brothers and sisters, and will actively coordinate with the related Chinese enterprise to speed up vaccine export to Pakistan,” Chunying stated (Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson)
