Trouble for Peshawer Zalmi – Two Important Players have been tested COVID-Positive

The Pakistan Cricket Board has reported that COVID tests have been completed of Wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal & Pacer Arshad Iqbal, which turned Positive. As a result, Both players have been sent to quarantine and will remain unfit for the playing in Peshawar Zalmi squad unless declared fit by the concerned Medical Team of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Kamran Akmal has recently played the Legends League Cricket in Oman and his test was taken before entering in COVID Bubble. In the Place of Kamran Akmal & Arshad Iqbal, Peshawer Zalmi added Imam Ul Haq & Amad Butt to Peshawar Zalmi Squad for 2022. 

According to the new COVID Protocols & Policies of the Pakistan Cricket Board for Pakistan Super League 2022, Players from Reserve Pool will replace the COVID infected players. Till the recovery of Arshad Iqbal & Kamran Akmal, Imam Ul Haq will serve as WicketKeeper & Opening Batter for Peshawar Zalmi. Ammad Butt will power the pace battery of Peshawer Zalmi.
